We then went for a drink at Slowdown which is in the Saddle Creek complex.

I had a root beer and Tom got to try some Goose beer from Chicago. We sat at the bar while the friendly staff gave us a list of places to check out around town and explained how to use the buses.

It was then time for the pub quiz at the Slowdown.

It was the hardest quiz we've ever done with a round on American music from the 60's and political scandals. We came joint last but there was a surprise halfway through.

It was the Slowdowns' 4th birthday so we all headed out to the carpark where there was an ice cream van with free ice cream for everyone. I had a Fudgicle which is my favourtie and Tom got a tub of Ben & Jerry's and a Col Crunch.

It was so hot outside, so we decided to cool down at the Slowdown with root beer and board games.

We started with a game of Anti-Monopoly which sounded interesting but wasn't actually that fun.

We also played Guess Who which was just as fun as I remember it being when I was little.

We headed up to NODO again after work today. It was very busy as it was the final of the CWS, so we took shelter with root beer in the Slowdown.

Afterwards we went for a drink at the Slowdown and I got to meet Orenda Fink in person.

We headed back to Omaha and it was time to go to the Slowdown for the Omaha Girls Rock showcase.

The place was packed and there were awesome handmade t-shirts and zines.

Orenda's band, The Jellybeans were on first and they had a lot of confidence.

The songs were really impressive for a week's work, I wish they'd have a rock camp for grown ups too.

We then went for a few drinks at The Slowdown where I was sad to see they still haven't fixed the photo booth.

In the evening, there was a block party in the carpark of the Slowdown where Conduits, Donkeys and The Hold Steady were playing a free gig.

Toyota were sponsoring and had three cars set up that you could go inside. The first was a fortune teller who spoke really wise words.

The second was a photo booth car which made lenticular photos.

The third was a game show, where we didn't get any of the answers right but we did get free screen printed posters and t-shirts.

The drummer in this band served us drinks in a bar last night and a girl in another band served us coffee this morning.
