We then headed down to Furnival Gardens near Hammersmith Bridge to watch the Oxford vs Cambridge Boat Race. We weren't the only ones with that idea, the park was full and there were food stalls and morris dancers.

After a bit of hunting we found Lynsey Munn chilling on picnic blankets with lots of delicious noms cooked by Alexandra Metaxa. Norman Tallman joined us and after a while Louise Blackwood found us too. Claire Taylor made her way along, just in time to watch the race.

Alexandra Metaxa had made pizza swirls with puff pastry and pizza toppings in the middle that tasted delicious. I'll have to ask her for the recipe.

When the race started everyone climbed on the benches and up in to the trees to get a view. I had to stand on my tips toes to get a glance at who was winning. I cheered on Oxford as that's the only city I've visited out of the two.

After the race we treated ourselves to Candy Floss.

We went for drinks near the river in the park next to The Dove.
