After checking out of the hotel we headed up to Montmarte and Sacre Couer.

These steps remind me so much of Amelie but what you don’t see in the movie are the “string men of Sacre Couer” who accost you on the steps and try to force braid a friendship bracelet on your hand and then take all of your money.

There was a very pretty Victorian carousel.

You get a lovely view from the top of the steps.

I bought a box of macaroons to take home from one of the patisseries.

We found the first windmill of Montmarte and then walked down the hill to my favorite place in Paris…
