We drove to Icod de Los Vinos, where the dragon tree is.

We had churros and hot chocolate in the square. It’s my favourite Spanish snack.

I got a squished penny for my penny pal (I already had one) and we said hello to the parrot, who said Hola back to us before heading home.

Afterwards we drove to Icod de los Vinos to see Dracaena draco, the Dragon Tree. The town was really pretty and Dad treated us to tasty little cookies from one of the bakeries.

The Dragon Tree is the largest and oldest tree of it’s kind and has amazing looking roots and branches. I got a squished penny.

The locals believe that it bleeds blood because it’s sap is so red and that it’s made up of human bodies (as the poster shows).

There was a really nice park surrounding the tree with cute chickens.

There was also a volcanic cave, which was kind of creepy and there was a mummy inside.

I befriended a couple of parrots. This one tried to speak to me but it only knew Spanish.
