We then drove to the seaside town of Candelaria. It was so peaceful watching the waves.

The town was very pretty and covered in bunting.

We stopped for ice cream. Tom and I shared the tiramisu and ferrero rocher flavours in a fancy cone.

The really pretty church was all decorated for Saints Day and had been made a minor basilica the previous day. It also had the Black Madonna inside.

The waves were crashing hard over the rocks and Tom got quite wet.

We relaxed outside a bar with sangria and beer while watching the waves. Tom found a heart shaped rock for his parents on the beach – they have a collection.

On the way back to the car we picked up some of the tasty cookies we found last year.

Tom found a squished penny machine, so I got one with the saint on and one with the town on.

We spotted some crabs hiding in the rocks on the beach. They were really colourful.
