The last few days have been really fun. Louise, my best friend from high school, came down to London for a job interview, so I got to spend yesterday with her. We had lunch on the canal boat at Little Venice, followed by coffee and cake in Maida Vale. She’s a photographer, so we went for a snoop around the Photographer’s Gallery and then wandered around the side streets of Soho, looking for interesting angles to snap.

We treated ourselves to bubble tea in China Town and then met up with Tom and took a riverboat down the Thames.

We went to Canary Wharf, to see all the skyscrapers light up as it went dark and then got lost in the underground maze of shopping malls. After that we went for a dinner at Yo Sushi!
This morning we went for breakfast at Plan 9 (french toast w/ banana & blueberry ♥) and then waved goodbye to Louise at the tube. She’s going to Korea for a year and then she wants to move to London.

Adam Buxton showed us some videos using tiltshift photography a while ago and I thought it would be really tricky to do and that you’d need special equipment, but I found a website that applies the effect to your photos and now I’m addicted.
In other news, Starbucks are paying Tom to keep a coffee diary, because he drinks way too much. Some people have all the luck!
