This week my parents and Canadian grandparents have been visiting us in London. Today, my Mum and I went on a coffee shop crawl, while the rest of the family visited museums. We started off with breakfast at Plan 9, grabbed a coffee at Cafe Laville over the canal, and then went for red velvet cake at Hummingbird.
After we met up with the rest of the family at the V & A. I can never resist snooping around the shop and this time, I left with Lego photo blocks (you can stack them however you like and put things inside them) for Tom, origami post-it notes and a variety of super cute buttons. I’m going to turn the crayon buttons in to a brooch.
We had a look around the Telling Tales exhibition, which is furniture with a fairy tale twist. I really like this set of chairs, which looked like they had been stretched.
Afterwards we went to Harrods, where they had a £10,000 box of Patchi chocolates. I wish I had taken a photo because the box was amazing, it was mirrored with tiny drawers filled with boxes. Each box was covered in Swarovski crystals. If I had enough spare cash, I’d buy one and make it my jewelry box, I could have used all the crystals to make the jewelry to keep in it!
Our birthdays have lasted for a very long time this year, and when my family arrived, we got to open even more presents. Grandma had brought me a huge bag of craft supplies from Canada.
