Tom and I headed out for a walk after work today and went down to the Water Of Leith.

It was just about to close so we took a look around the grounds and had a drink in the garden.

We continued along the Water Of Leith to Stockbridge.

We went for dinner at Pizza Express which is in a really pretty building next to the water.

Tom and I use to think this was one of the most extravagant restaurants in Edinburgh when we were little kids.

We shared roasted almonds, mushroom bruschetta, a goats cheese and onion pizza and had ice cream and coffee for dessert.

Tom's fermenter arrived this morning so we could finally start brewing the beer kit he got for Christmas.

It was so lovely today, so we took a walk through the meadows and stopped for a homemade walnut whip style cake at Peter's Yard.

They're so easy to make and really addictive.
