The Cats Around The World calendars I made arrived this morning for my Mum, Nana and Grandma. I quite like them.

Today was the big move day and Jim hired a van so we could bring all of our furniture through to Edinburgh. After dropping our stuff off, we headed to Ikea to buy five bookcases and a second desk for the office.

Tom spent the evening putting together furniture with the power tools my Dad loaned him.

After five hours, the bookcases were built and filled with a rainbow of books. It feels like the craft section in a bookstore and I love it so much. Now, to put everything in Delicious Library so I can start loading them out to friends...

Jim & Christine came through to visit today, before taking us back to Kirkcaldy to pack our things.

We tried a bar of gin & tonic chocolate with our coffee at eleven today.

We then went for lunch at the Dovecot where we had sandwiches.

They were so good at coffee art. I want to send Tom on a course to learn how to do this.

We then had a look around the exhibition.

Some of it was a little questionable.

Could you tell these pieces were "born not designed"?!

I love the top of this painting.

We stopped in to Coco which is a really nice chocolate shop to get a bar for Christine & Jim.

Everyday at eleven they have coffee and chocolate, which I think is a great tradition. This bar has orange, ginger and geranium in it.

We then walked through the Meadows.

I love the police box coffee shops which are dotted all over Edinburgh

This one has a pun of the day. I love puns!

There was also a guerrilla playing drums. Some Mum shouted "stay away from that monkey!" to her kid.

We headed up to the roof on the museum to see the amazing view over Edinburgh.

It's so nice finally living here after all the days and weekends we spent visiting in our teens.

We then went to the Chocolate Lounge on the top floor of Harvey Nichols.

It's like Yo Sushi! but with desserts and mini bottles of champagne.

We shared an amazingly glittery millionaire's shortbread.

Afterwards we admired the candy shop themed window display in Louis Vuitton.

My Nana came through to see our new apartment today.

We started with breakfast at Piece Box where I had porridge with maple syrup.

Afterwards we took Nana back to the mews to give her a tour.

She brought an old photo that had been damaged and I repaired it in Photoshop. She had tried taking it to a professional, but they wanted £60 to do it!

It was a really rainy and cold day, with snow predicted but we were determined to make the most of the day and explore Morningside.

We warmed up with drinks at Loopy Lorna's Tea Room.

They had a cute pink mini with eyelashes parked outside.

I had a tasty hot chocolate.

I loved the little hand grabber for the sugar.

We then went for a look around the Morningside Makers Market.

It takes place every weekend and there were lots of cute things to see.

I managed to pick up the Wagamama cookbook for £2.50 and can't wait to try cooking my favourite things from the menu at home.

We then cooked everyone pizza for dinner. It's so good having a huge oven and being able to bake multiple things at the same time.

Everyone seemed rather impressed. Our table extends, so we could have an even bigger dinner party - not that our cooking skills could keep up.

We topped the pizzas with tomato sauce, caramelised onion, Quorn sausage, rosemary, goats cheese, black olives and basil.

We spent a little more time exploring Morningside today. I continue to be surprised by the number of kitsch little shops selling trinkets, coffee shops that look ideal for working in and craft shops selling supplies.

There was a great shop called Bohemia which sells cute vintage dresses and makes their own satchels in pretty colours. They were quite a unique design too with clip on handles, which come in handy.

A little further down the street was Context Interiors which is covered in vintage clocks and sells all kinds of trinkets and gifts.

Who doesn't need instructions on how to fry a Mars Bar?!

I really want to drink hot chocolate out of one of these mugs.

Tonight we met up with Alan, one of our friends from Balwearie who lives in Edinburgh and went for a drink at Lebowski's. Alan works at a law firm and wears a skinny tie, which makes me think of the guy from Suits.

The bar is a tribute to The Big Lebowski and serves every flavour of White Russian you can imagine. I tried absinthe with kaluha to start and then a bourbon and toffee one.

Louise, who was one of my friends back at Burntisland Primary School got in touch recently. She makes awesome musical timeline prints so we though it'd be a great idea to run a contest for them on CO+K.

We have a high-tech video monitor on the door, which takes photos of everyone who comes by while you're out. Here's the postman trying to deliver two parcels this morning.

My free Facebook timeline cards arrived from moo.com. They're cool but the only things I'll use them for are business card raffles to win free meals in restaurants.

Our internet doesn't arrive for another week, so we've been working at the local Starbucks.

The lemon and poppy seed muffins are far too tempting.

In the evening, my parents came through with a few more boxes and we cooked them dinner. Afterwards we went to Luca's for hot chocolate and a praline sundae.

It was soooo good!

Jim & Christine came through to see our new mews today.

We went for lunch at Piece Box, where we're starting to become regulars.

I resisted the amazing looking cupcakes and ordered a Mexican tuna sandwich (or should I say piece?) and a mocha chai instead. I love the gold plates.

There's a great little craft shop along the street from us called Pins & Needles which sells cheap supplies and has very helpful staff. I picked up a crochet needle.

I'd been meaning to join a Stitch 'N Bitch down south for years but never got around to it, so when Nicole (a friend I'd made at a Facebook party back in London, who has recently moved to Edinburgh) tweeted me about Granny Green's Big Night Out, we rushed along.

I took my Cath Kidston cushion, which I've restarted using a smaller needle to compensate for my beginners loose tension. It's amazing what a size difference the needle makes.

The meet-up was at the Red Squirrel where I had a vegetarian haggis bugger. Everyone was so friendly and even helped me get knots out of my spaghetti-like yarn.

Nicole made a flock of adorable sock bunnies. I'm looking forward to going again next week!

When my Dad read that they serve door-slab French toast at the Piece Box Cafe, he insisted we go for breakfast the next morning. I loved the pink teapot they gave him.

Mum and I shared the Hell's eggs and pancakes which were both delicious.

We waved goodbye to my parents after breakfast and went for a walk along the canal.

We spotted some kayakers playing what looked like water basketball.

I sent a photo to my Dad who was saying it'd be fun to kayak to work if he lived next to a canal.

We walked for ages until we reached the viaduct.

It was so high that it made me feel dizzy.

We were starting to feel the cold, so we headed back to Morningside in hopes of finding a cafe to warm up in. There were dozens and dozens of options but we ended up in Blackwood Coffee with an amazing soy chai latte.

I'm really loving Morningside, so Maisie better watch out!

My parents came through to Edinburgh today to see our new place and take full advantage of our guest room.

It's so nice living next to the canal and getting to see the ducks. We'll bring them bread when we have some (or any food in our place).

Luckily there's an amazing cafe called Piece Box right next to us, which is covered in quirky decor with comfy sofas and armchairs.

I tried their breakfast smoothie which was made from honey, yogurt, banana and granola. It was delicious and I think this will be our new Plan 9.

We then explored Morningside and walked through the Meadows in to the city.

In the evening we went for dinner at Yo Sushi!

We ordered all of our favourites and tried a new salmon roll thing.

We got some chocolate & yogurt covered edamame to take away which were strange but nice.

We stopped in to the Cameo bar on our walk home.

My Mum was still a little hungry so we ordered some bread and olives.

We signed the lease on our new mews in Edinburgh today.

I love this place so much because it's just as open plan as the London mews, with the living area upstairs on the top two floors and the bedrooms on the bottom two.

The living room and kitchen are on split levels with a giant skylight in the roof, which lets in so much daylight.

It's going to be such a great place to work when we get the new CO+K HQ set up.

The kitchen is my favourite place with a great view over the back of the mews and the canal.

It also has a gigantic oven, which is something we lacked in London and I can't wait to start baking.

There are also two balconies, which will be great in the summer. I'm going to start a herb garden.

We celebrated our first night in with our tradition of having pizza delivered.

We were excited to see stars through our skylight when it went dark. Hopefully we'll have some good lightening storms to look forward to.

Today was our last day in Fife, so Jim & Christine took us for lunch in West Wemyss.

We went to the Walk Inn, which is a lottery sponsored community cafe.

It was lovely inside with lots of driftwood and fairy lights. I had a tasty baked potato.

We took a walk after lunch to see the choppy waves, while trying not to get splashed.

Happies Close sounds like a quaint little place to live.

It was then time to head back to Tom's house to pack but we kept getting distracted by the instruments.

We then had vegetarian haggis for dinner, as a late Burns supper. It was delicious and really nutty.

My Mum tipped us off about a chic new charity shop on Kdy high street, so we went to check it out today and were excited to find retro polaroid camera and a pair of heart-shaped sunglasses for 99p. I've wanted a pair for years, but could never bring myself to spending a fiver on them in Camden Market.

We spotted a cute cat shopping in Tesco. She's famous with shoppers in Kirkcaldy, as she sneaks in to the supermarket to get out of the cold.

We spent the evening catching up with soon-to-be-weds Laura and Andrew over dinner at Wetherspoon's (for the third night). We're looking forward to their wedding in March.

I decided to start off the week with a super glittery manicure.

I also decided to make a washbag, as I've been back and forth between houses for the last few weeks.

I made it out of some Cath Kidston oil cloth that I had bought in London and it worked really well, after I realised to use a leather needle to sew it.

In the evening we went for dinner at Wetherspoon's with Jim & Christine.

Today my Mum and Nana took me to the cafe at Baxters.

We had cheesecake and cappuccinos, while I worked on my crochet. A few people asked what I was making and if I had been doing it for long.

There's usually a heard of highland cows in the fields outside the cafe but they were nowhere to be seen this week. I'll have to come back to see them one day.

There was a crazy recipe book for cooking for your cat in the gift shop, which had fancy recipes like raw beef with carrot and meat-free dishes for vegetarian felines.

I tried juicing my own iPal (from the Roseleaf bar cafe) tonight using five carrots, two apples and a chunk of ginger. It tasted soooo good but was a lot of effort for the amount of juice you get.
